Acts 29 Believes in the Power of Prayer

Ephesians 6:18-19

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel…”

Prayer is one of Acts 29’s CORE values (Acts 2:42), which means that prayer is essential to all that we do. Without the power of God leading the way, we realize that our human efforts to transform a city for Christ are worthless.

February Prayer Requests

OUR FATHER  IN HEAVEN

HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME

YOUR KINGDOM COME

We pray that as we begin and activate a number of ministries this month that they would be fruitful in building God’s Kingdom. We ask specifically for the ECCLESIA School of Missions, for FYRE youth ministry and for the planning of Shepherd on a Street as we seek the Holy Spirit to fill and empower these programs.  We ask that our worship time would be anointed and that God would lead and guide Abby as she oversees the worship team and Jonathan as he works to bring as spirit of prayer to the service.

YOUR WILL BE DONE

We ask that God’s will would be known and fulfilled in our lives and ministries. We pray for Pastor John and Rev. Sharon as they plan the ECCLESIA School of Missions curriculum, that they would hear clearly from the Father for direction and power to empower leaders in the congregation. We pray that Andrew would be inspired by the Holy Spirit as he plans and envisions the Shepherd on a Street program and for Brad, Stacey and Jonathan as they seek God’s will for the High School youth. We also pray that Andrew and Abby Layer would find a house on the South side of the city to purchase and create a place for ministry. We pray for Andrew’s mother, that she would continue to experience greater and greater healing from the Father. We pray for Ernie and Erica for their health needs and greater knowledge of the Father.

ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

We pray and yearn for God’s presence to come down and awaken the hearts of our city and that the reality of heaven would come to earth.

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

We pray that God would continue to provide finances to continue His ministry to Hamtramck through us. We also pray for the funds to complete our third floor dormitories and to fix the leaking roof. We thank God for the mission teams coming in March from Spring Arbor and Crown  College. May the Lord bless their service.

AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS
AS WE ALSO HAVE FORGIVEN OUT DEBTORS

We pray that we would walk in purity, honesty, holiness, mercy and forgiveness.

AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL

To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
