Children/Youth
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” -Mark 10:14

The city of Hamtramck is home to thousands of children who are living in sub-par conditions, without a visible witness of Jesus Christ in their lives and with little hope to make it out of the city and off the streets.
Acts 29 has always had a passion to reach children and youth for Christ. We not only want to serve children in order to share the gospel with them, but we want to give them every tool we can to help them become successful and productive adults. We have many programs for youth and children. Our areas of ministry in young people’s lives include working with students both in the public school setting and in our own building.
We provide children and youth with opportunities to:
- grow in Christ-like Character
- learn about the message of the Bible
- grow in basic life skills
- be helped with homework
- be tutored in their classrooms
- set and reach goals
- compete in an academic quizzing league
- see life outside of the city

As we invest time, money and compassion into our children and youth, we are reminded of Jesus’ words in the gospel of John. “Unless a kernal of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24) Our hearts for our children and youth is that their old way of life which is steeped in immorality, pessimism and disobedience will die and that they will find a new life characterized by the goodness, the hope and the productivity which are found in Christ.
Join us in reaching out to the children and
youth in Hamtramck by offering them the hope of a new life!
